Errol Jones returns to his alma mater in 2007 after nine successful seasons at Russellville High School, where he was the offensive coordinator the last six seasons. During his tenure, the Golden Tigers amassed a 99-21 record and qualified for the state finals three straight seasons in 2002, 2003, and 2004. In the six seasons he was offensive coordinator, the Golden Tigers went 77-9 overall. His 2002 offense still holds 15 AHSAA state records for offensive producation

Jones will serve as running backs coach for the Bulldogs.

While coaching in Russellville, Jones was instrumental in the collegiate recruiting process for his student-athletes, including working with A&M head coach Anthony Jones and the Bulldog staff on several occasions.

Jones owns two degrees from Alabama A&M, an undergraduate degree in Mathematics Secondary Education (1990), and a Master's of Education (2005).

A native of Tuscaloosa County, he and his wife, Colette, are the parents of four children; Kiera, Aeriel, Devin, and E.J.
