For the second straight season, Mickell Gladness has earned both first-team all-SWAC honors, as well as the league's Defensive Player of the Year. Gladness finished the regular season leading the SWAC in blocks and was second in rebounding. Trant Simpson, who averaged over 17 points per game in conference play, also earned first-team honors. The Bulldogs' Desmond Jackson was named to the conference all-academic team with a 3.34 GPA in secondary education.
